Do I need any prerequisites?
No hard prerequisites. Once you register you gain access to online prep material (about 90 minutes) to review before class, so you arrive ready for SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM).
What’s included in the course?
The course, the official exam, one year of SAFe Studio, the digital workbook, our Fast-Pass study kit, recordings for life, and a 1:1 career-coaching session. No hidden fees.
Is the course available in-person or remote?
Both. You can join live in-person or live-virtual (remote) — every cohort is instructor-led by an authorised SAFe instructor (SPC/ASPC), and you keep the session recordings.
What are the exam details and passing score?
60 multiple-choice, 90 minutes, passing score 80%. Your first attempt is included. Taken online with a 60 days after class window.
Can I get certified without passing the exam?
No. Completing the course unlocks the exam, and you must pass it to earn the certification.
Can I take the exam without attending the course?
Generally no. For almost all SAFe certifications, attending the official course is required to unlock the exam in SAFe Studio.
How long is the certification valid, and how much is renewal?
SAFe certifications are valid for one year, renewed through annual SAFe Studio membership.
What’s the retake policy?
Your first retake can be taken soon after a failed attempt; subsequent retakes require a short waiting period and a fee.
What will I be able to do after SSM?
You’ll be equipped to apply SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) in a real SAFe environment — facilitating iteration events and coaching a high-performing Agile team.
